I am a first-year grad student working with Dr. Nishal Shah in the Rice BCI Lab on decoding motor

I did a rotation with Dr. Jay Hennig’s group where I analyzed human spiking activity in deep-brain areas, with the goal of understanding how that activity varies (or not) when performing different tasks.

I worked with Dr. Sheila Nirenberg on a clinical trial of BS01, a gene therapy for restoring vision to blind patients. I worked on engineering aspects for providing optogenetic stimulation, explored applications of the retinal neural code for machine vision, and helped design and conduct new vision tests while working with patients.

I managed data analysis (ETL, Spark) pipelines for data products generating key performance indicators (KPIs) for around 700 companies using large-volumes of daily customer transaction data.
